Some of the parking areas for the Lidingö Race are far from either the start or the finish. Therefore, it is important to arrive well in advance of your start time. This means you need to be at Lidingövallen at least two hours before your start, so plan your trip accordingly.

As part of our efforts to reduce car traffic and to encourage more people to choose our free buses or bicycles, we charge a parking fee of 60 SEK which is paid via Swish, half of the parking fee is donated to the Lidingö Race's Pink Ribbon collection for the Cancer Foundation.

Directions: On Lidingö Bridge: choose the right lane towards Elfvik to get directly to Norra Kungsvägen.
Follow Norra Kungsvägen all the way to Lidingövallen. As you approach Lidingövallen (the intersection of Kyrkvägen/Norra Kungsvägen), follow the instructions of the officials to the parking area.

Directions for motorists, Saturday

For those driving to Lidingö on Saturday before 10:00 AM:

Directions: On Lidingö Bridge: choose the right lane towards Elfvik to get directly onto Norra Kungsvägen. Follow Norra Kungsvägen all the way to Lidingövallen. As you approach Lidingövallen (the intersection of Kyrkvägen/Norra Kungsvägen), follow the marshal's instructions for parking.

For those driving to Lidingö on Saturday after 10:00 AM:

Sunday

For those driving to Lidingö on Sunday before 10:00 AM:

Directions: On Lidingö Bridge: choose the right lane towards Elfvik to come directly onto Norra Kungsvägen.
Follow Norra Kungsvägen all the way to Lidingövallen. As you approach Lidingövallen (the intersection of Kyrkvägen/Norra Kungsvägen), follow the marshal's instructions for parking.

For those driving to Lidingö on Sunday after 10:00 AM:

Directions: On Lidingö Bridge: choose the middle lane and follow the signs for Gåshaga onto Södra Kungsvägen.
At the first roundabout, continue towards Gåshaga on Södra Kungsvägen.
At the second roundabout, turn left onto Läroverksvägen (signposted Gångsätra before the roundabout). Follow Läroverksvägen until it ends and merges with Kyrkvägen. Turn right onto Kyrkvägen. Follow the road until you meet an official who will direct you to parking.

DRIVING FROM LIDINGÖ, AS WELL AS CLOSURES

Drivers who are going to travel from Lidingö have only one possible route from Lidingövallen: this is an attempt to reduce traffic jams and aid bus traffic.
The closures are in effect Saturday from 8 am to 7:30 pm and Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Directions: If you have parked north of Lidingövallen (the intersection of Kyrkvägen/Norra Kungsvägen), you are not allowed to go straight on Norra Kungsvägen. You must make a left turn past Lidingövallen.
Follow Kyrkvägen to the intersection of Kyrkvägen/Läroverksvägen and turn left onto Läroverksvägen. Drive along Läroverksvägen until you reach the roundabout at Södra Kundsvägen.
Then turn right onto Södra Kungsvägen, which you follow all the way to the Lidingö Bridge.
