About Engelbrektsloppet 60 (February 12, 2023)
Engelbrektsloppet is Sweden's second largest long-distance race on skis, and is - along with Vasaloppet, Vätternrundan, Vansbrosimningen and TCS Lidingöloppet - one of the cornerstones of En Svensk Klassiker (The Swedish Classic Circuit). The race over 60 kilometers in classic style is also a qualifying race for Vasaloppet and runs three laps on a 20 kilometer long track with start, lap and finish at Torget in Norberg. The race contains varied skiing - both flat, steep sections through a range of beautiful lake areas, along with slightly hilly forest terrain and two larger individual climbs per lap.
Norberg is a small community with about 6,000 inhabitants and is located about 160 km from Stockholm - 2 hours by car.
