The safety of all participants is the highest priority when the TCS Lidingöloppet Week is arranged this autumn. We are therefore eternally grateful to Johanniterhjälpen, which helps making TCS Lidingöloppet 2021 a heart-safe event for all runners, volunteers, and other participants. Through defibrillators at Grönsta, Koltorp and Lidingövallen and along the trails, Johanniterhjälpen ensures that cardiopulmonary resuscitation can be carried out quickly during the event.
AED and cardiopulmonary resuscitation - of central importance during cardiac arrest!
Sudden cardiac arrest often comes without warning and requires immediate care - for every minute that passes during a sudden cardiac arrest, the chance of survival decreases by 10 %. With cardiopulmonary resuscitation, you help the body achieve what it cannot do itself at the moment. With AED, you can get the heart to return to its normal rhythm - efforts which save lives!
Where will there be defibrillators during the TCS Lidingö race weekend 2021?
Thanks to Johanniterhjälpen, there will be defibrillators and trained staff throughout the event area during the TCS Lidingöloppet Week - at Grönsta, Lidingövallen and Koltorp but also along the track, administered by Johanniterhjälpen's volunteers. With the help of Lidingöloppet's transportation services, these lifeguards will be close by wherever you are on the course.
Johanniterhjälpen is an international organization whose Swedish branch works to increase survival in the event of cardiac arrest by educating volunteers in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and equipping them with their own portable defibrillators. These Johanniterhjälpen personell are connected to lifeguards, which helps to heart-safe sports events such as TCS Lidingöloppet.
Johanniterhjälpen's defibrillators are financed through internal funds and donations. Contribute to their vital efforts by donating a gift here!
