1. How thick are the soles of carbon-plated running shoes allowed to be during TCS Lidingöloppet? 
TCS Lidingöloppet has been given an exemption from the World Athletics' regulations on cross-country running shoes regarding the thickness of the shoe sole. The shoe's sole is allowed to be a maximum of 40mm during TCS Lidingöloppet.

2. How do you measure the thickness of the shoe soles?
The thickness of the sole is measured, including sport insoles, from under the middle of the heel.

3. Which shoe models can be used during this year's race events?
The shoe models that are allowed to be used during TCS Lidingöloppet must be listed on the World Athletics "Shoe Compliance List".

4. Who will checks the runners' shoes during TCS Lidingöloppet?
Participants are responsible for their equipment during both TCS Lidingöloppet and TCS Lidingöloppet@Hemma 2021. The equipment used will thus not be checked by TCS Lidingöloppet's race administration.

Although many carbon fiber shoes are designed for asphalt and track running, they work well on TCS Lidingöloppet's trails. What can be worth keeping in mind is that some carbon fiber shoes lack patterns under the sole. On a rainy day, rocks and roots on the TCS Lidingöloppet's uneven terrain can be slippery for shoes without tread groove depth.
