Hundreds of runners came to celebrate spring on Lidingö during Vårmilen. And rightflly so - during the races over 5 and 10 kilometers, participants got to experience a glorious day along Lidingö's green meadows and forests, wihle testing their fitness for upcoming races!
Most popular was the Men's/Women's 10K, where the participants coud simultaneously get qualification times to the TCS Lidingöloppet wave starts. The race, which took place on a scenic, yet hilly, course in Stockby, Långängen and Ekholmsnäs, was a challenge for both recreational- and elite runners.
The participant who mastered this challenge the best was Ludvig Johansson from IFK Lidingö Friidrott, followed by Stefan Hållberg from IFK Lidingö Friidrott and Benjamin Guter from Onsdagssocieteten. In the women's race, Olivia Lundevall from Stocksund was first to cross the finish line, with Elvira Arosell from Lidingö and Filippa Bergsman from Spårvägens FK on second and third place.
The Men's/Women's 5K races were also characterised by a large turnout of participants with both elite and recreational runners from all over Stockholm and Sweden. In the men's race, Harry McMurtrie from IFK Lidingö SOK was first over the finish line, followed by Konstantin Avramidis from IS Göta and Jason Krogh-Pedersen from Bagarmossen. In the women's race, Emma Holstad from IFK Lidingö won with Madeleine Hegg from Lidingö and Emma Levin from Täby behind.
Lidingöloppet would like to extend a great thanky to everyone who took part in the event - which was the first race without restrictions in two years.
