A place created for meetings in a learning environment. That was the vision when architect Anders Tengbom designed Skogshem & Wijk in the late 1950s. The venue offers nearly 50 conference rooms for 2–550 people, lounges with views of the archipelago, and 222 comfortable hotel rooms with 290 beds. In late autumn 2018, construction began on an additional 28 double rooms, which were completed in August 2019. Within just under a ten-minute walk, there is access to a further 170 rooms. All of this is set within a vast natural landscape.

Whether you are participating or coming to cheer, we offer complete packages including overnight accommodation with dinner and breakfast, access to our pleasant heated outdoor pool (approximately 35°C), sauna, gym, and relaxation areas. In addition, we provide a wide range of free activities such as billiards, pinball, table tennis, and more. Free parking is available on site, and coffee is included. Skogshem & Wijk offers both single and double rooms, with space for runners as well as accompanying guests. On scenic Lidingö you’ll find Rönneberga, just five minutes from the Hustegaholm hydration station. People have been coming here to meet and connect since 1969. Friends is a non-profit children’s rights organization that works to ensure that every child can grow up free from bullying and abuse. Friends provides children and adults with the insight, skills, and tools needed to create change.

Friends focuses on engaging and empowering adults at all levels of society to prevent and reduce bullying. Friends works to increase knowledge and awareness of bullying and its consequences, as well as which evidence-based interventions are effective—in everyday life, in schools, online, and within sports.

Friends offers advice and support to children and young people with experiences of bullying, and advocates for decision-makers to take action to strengthen children’s right to safety.

Runner’s World is Sweden’s largest magazine for running enthusiasts. Our goal is to inspire and motivate both beginners and experienced runners through features, personal profiles, and informative reviews of running gear. In every issue, you also gain access to practical training advice and tips to help you develop as a runner. The magazine is published six times a year.

Exercise and joy of movement for life

For the City of Lidingö, it is important that residents have the opportunity to pursue their sports, cultural, and leisure interests throughout their lives.

To offer lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and to support local clubs and associations, the City of Lidingö is a host city of the Lidingöloppet and works closely with the race organization. We manage several of the Lidingöloppet’s key functions, with a focus on operations, IT, safety, the environment, and sustainability.

Our staff at Lidingövallen Sports Ground maintain the island’s approximately 150 kilometers of trails and tracks in good condition year-round. In the run-up to the Lidingöloppet, work on the race course is intensified: branches overhanging the trail are removed and the surface is prepared.

We install fiber connections for timing systems, provide the data network for media and film crews, and equip the results tent with computer hardware. Staff are on site to provide support throughout race weekend.

We are also present during Lidingöloppet weekend at Grönsta gärde, where we organize a range of fun activities for both runners and spectators.

Spider Ads is an advertising software for automated advertising across media channels (banners in news media, social media, digital indoor and outdoor screens, web TV, and video). The software automatically detects updates, produces ads, purchases media, and publishes the ads across media channels within seconds.

The Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden) is a non-profit fundraising organization that works through research funding, knowledge sharing, and advocacy. Their mission is to ensure that more people survive cancer and fewer are affected by it. During October, Cancerfonden runs the Pink Ribbon campaign, and the Pink Ribbon Run marks the kickoff of the entire campaign.
