Registration Terms

Your registration is binding and the rules we apply are as follows:

• Race or start that is moved from one date to another date within the same year: You have the option to defer your entry to the next year. We will not refund your entry fee.
• The race will be digital with individual timing: You can choose to move your starting position to this new arrangement, or postpone your starting position by one year. We will not refund your entry fee.
• Races cancelled due to Force Majeure: In the event of a race being cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as fire, flooding, natural disaster, labor dispute, war, terrorist attack, earthquake, government decision or action to prevent the spread of viruses or other diseases, the entry fee will not be refunded.
• We do not compensate for loss or damage to property.
• It is not permitted to participate in our races under someone else's name.
• You have the option to sell/transfer your starting spot through My Pages. Read more here.
• We reserve the right to make adjustments to the content and design of the races and surrounding activities.

The reason we do not refund entry fees is that it is non-profit sports clubs (IFK Lidingö Athletics and IFK Lidingö Skiing and Orienteering) that coordinate and organize the Lidingö Race. All revenues in the form of entry fees that the associations receive from participants are used to cover the associations' costs to arrange the races. We undertake significant expenses for preparations and arrangements throughout the year before each Lidingö Race, in order to make the event possible, which are to be compensated by the participant fees paid. The Lidingö Race is therefore not a commercial entity, but a non-profit operation without any profit motive, coordinating the races.

Due to the pandemic in the year 2020, it was not possible to conduct events in the same way as in previous years. To prevent runners from previous years from missing out on future events and offers, Lidingöloppet commits to continue sending newsletters for a period of 3 years to those who are now registered as recipients of our newsletter. This means that personal data in the form of email addresses will be processed during this time. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters, you can unsubscribe via a link at the bottom of the Newsletter. The mailings will then cease and Lidingöloppet's processing of your personal data will also end.
